About The Author

Mary Ann Castagnetta has been a resident of New Jersey for over 35 years after experiencing a wonderful childhood in Brooklyn, New York. She has always wanted to write “Bubble Gum Dreams”, which she had told to her son John, who is the character in the book. However, life got in the way and she has been busy performing in Community Theater for over 20 years. She performed in many Musical and Non-Musical Productions with her favorites being Nunsense and Steel Magnolias. She was also very happy to appear with Gene Simmons last year on his Reality Show, “Family Jewels”.

Seeing her book in print and sharing her story with children has been her “Bubble Gum Dream” come true. The joy she sees on children’s faces as they read the story and admire the beautiful illustrations has been more rewarding than she ever imagined.
